The Folk Show features traditional and tradition-based fold music of the English-speaking world, covering the United States, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and Great Britain, with occasional excursions into other parts of the world and other languages.
The Folk Show takes a scholarly approach to the music: John researches the culture, history, superstitions, religious beliefs, and folk customs of the people who created these musical selections. The Folk Show’s goal is to provide “thoughtful, intelligent programming for thoughtful, intelligent listeners”.
